Aloha,
I am in support of Bill 56.
My family and I have a 20 acre parcel off of Pohoiki Road that is waiting for the completion of Pohoiki so we can have
legal access again. My daughter Nicolette applied for a Grant in 2018 to make an easement through our neighbors
property that was covered in lava. We now have the easement but the road easement hasn't been completed because
by the time the application was approved to now, materials and labor have gone up in the last 5 years. So we were
under funded because of the delay in the completion of Pohoiki Road.The extra funding would help us complete our
easement road and help our other neighbors who we are giving access to through our easement since our property is
the only property touching our neighbor who touches Pohoiki Road.
This funding would help over 12 TMK's get back to their properties.
