Aloha Councilmembers,
Here is a scene from Kona in the 1960s. When I was growing up, Kona had no traffic lights—none--and we
went there to escape the big city of Hilo.

And here is Kona in the 2020s. It's turned into "little L.A."—just in my lifetime.

So, Mr. Livingston is to be commended for his successful real estate career and his willingness to serve on
the Planning Commission, but given what has happened to Kona, I think instead we need commissioners
with a strong backgrounds in knowledge, protection, and stewardship of the land.
