Livingston for Leeward Planning Commission
To the Honorable Members of the Hawaii County Council,
I am writing this testimony to express my support for Trey Livingston's appointment to the Hawaii County Leeward
Planning Commission. I have known Trey for a few years now and have been watching his growth and desire to serve the
community only after having the greatest honor of serving our country. His dedication to the community in which he
lives and works is his highest priority.
More recently,Trey joined my board as a director member and volunteered to take an officer role shortly thereafter.
Throughout his time on the board thus far 1 have seen Trey question the way we do things and our processes,which has
only made us better. His analytical mind has forced us to reconsider our procedures and this body should know better
than any others that diverse opinions and thought processes benefit everyone.
I watched the entire committee meeting on July 5th in support of Trey,which was my first participation with the
Government Operations& External Affairs Committee.After rewatching the video multiple times, I can still
confidently say I support Trey's nomination for this appointment. I can't think of anyone better and more qualified with
the desire to devote time and energy to giving back to the community in this way.
His knowledge and educational background will be able to elevate the commission's outlook and provide them with the
necessary considerations for the important role they play in the development of Leeward Hawaii.That development
encompasses more than just the building of homes,Trey cares about the accessibility of beaches,parks,and other public
spaces,he is educated about the infrastructure we lack,and what's needed to make advancements on that with fairness
to all parties.
It's clear to me that Trey's priorities and hopes for the future of all our ohana's is at the forefront of his decision making
and would continue to be if confirmed for this body.Thank you for your time and dedication to the betterment of Hawaii
County. I urge you to confirm Trey Livingston's appointment to the Hawaii County Leeward Planning Commission and
allow him the great honor and opportunity to continue serving his community in the best way he can.
