+he residents aF Iki Place. Acs we are always on alert -For o water leak. My house
sits next to Kona Church o-F C-rod Koad and all o-F the mauka water lines run on +he
wall behind my property. I make i+ a point +o walk the back o-F +he property looking
and listening .For water leaks. My greatest f-cor is +hat o leak will occur during the
middle o-F +he nigh+ un-noticed, and my house will be �-'Ioodecd.

C) There was o leak that wen+ un-noticed For months where all +he water lines go
�v under the road. I didn't notice +he leak un+il a corner o�-\ my yard was muddy and
bug in Fested. This leak created o pool o-F water on +he road making it di F-Ficul+ +o
) iden+i-Fy whose line was actually leaking. My concern was that the ground had
become so saturated that i+ would undermine my yard.
Ugushers are easy +o notice. Small leaks are more diF-Ficul+. Kc,5idents gather a+ the
water meters, turning o;FP one line at n time, +o determine which line is leaking. Once
determined, that water line is turned o-F-F, and +he resident lives without water until a
repair can be made. Approval o-F +his resolution will bring peace o-F mind, as well as
a consistent and reliable, water supply +o our neighborhood.
