RESOLUTION NO. 234 23 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI—YEAR AGREEMENT FOR AN ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) SYSTEM WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment offunds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii currently uses an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which is approximately twenty (20) years old and which in the near future, the vendor will no longer support; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement for ten (10) years, for a new ERP system for the Finance Department; and WHEREAS, this agreement provides for annual licensing, maintenance and support fees for the system indicated above; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a ten (10) year agreement for an ERP system, for the Finance Department. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, and the Finance Department.
