With disasters in the headlines, I want to offer these thoughts.
I would like to have a reasonable insurance policy that allows me to waive a "Lava event" fire
coverage BUT still offers accidental fire coverage such is available to ALL homeowners in other
areas.
This then puts the burden upon owners to NOT build in the highest risk zones.
Perhaps HPIA can craft such a policy and make it affordable again. I'm certain that the State officials
would have to legislate such coverage.
