Aloha Council Members,
This e-mail is in support of Res 223 excepting the phrase regarding HPIA premiums. That should be replaced by a
request to evaluate the fairness of HPIA policy premiums. HPIA is charging premiums that do not appear to be aligned
in any way with commensurate risk.
The impact of the insurance crisis is very significant and will be growing. Many families with mortgages will not be able
to pay insurance premiums up to 10 times what the private market had been paying.
