Deer County Council,
am writing to you today as a resident el Aianui liwi Road in
VcIcano, Hawaii, to request that you ;;-A'nn.rid Bill 063 to include the
maintenance of private, non dedicatec'i 6nd non surrInthred
roads.
hanui liwi Road was once maintained by the County, but has
miused to do so in the last 20.30 years. In recent years, there has •
been a significant amount of growth inthe -.real with many new
homes being built. This has led to .-qn iP;nrase in traffic on the
road, which has caused significant dmage. As a result, the road
is beginning to deteriorate and is no bnger safe for use.
We, the residents of Alanul liwi Road, have been struggling to
maintain the road on our own, but it i8 ''AlJr4rply too much for us to
handle. We have long felt that as CounV xpayers, we should
enjoy the benefits of such, which includes having Wll maintained
roads. Therefore, we respectfully ret:„usL1 your attention to this
matter by including Alanul liwi Road on your road maintenance
We believe that amending Bill 063 to de the maintenance of
private, non dedicated and non surrendred roads would be a fair
and just solution to this problem. It wouid allow the County to take
over the maintenance of the road, hch would ensure that it is
safe for use by all residents and visito .
