To whom it may concern,
My name is Troy Davidson. I live at 73-4529 Iki Place. My wife is Heather Davidson.We are both in support of approving
Resolution 164-23.
First,we want to give a big MAHALO to Wendy Beaz and Debbie Hecht for their due diligence this process.They have
spent a lot time, effort and energy to get this project to where we are now.
We moved here in August 2022 and learned our meter was located off of Mamalahoa Hwy. Since then we have
received several emails,from our neighbors, about broken water lines. My neighbor, showed me where all our lines are
located and explained to me the process of repairing a leak. During this walk,we observed a water line that was
completely snapped and gushing at full stream.We are not sure who it belonged to, but it did not get resolved for 3
months.The amount of water and energy wasted could have been avoided if we had the lines closer to the lots.
This water line will bring much needed stress relief to our neighborhood. Some of us still travel the Old Church road (via
foot or vehicle)to check for leeks.We would no longer need the neighborhood waterline leak patrol. We would no
longer receive the bad news email of"a PVC pipe with pink ribbons has a leak".And we would no longer need to play
the guessing game of turning off the water to ensure it is not your line that is leaking.
Some of my neighbors worked in the middle of the night to fix the leak and still go to work after spending 2 to 3 hours of
tracking, repairing and flushing the water line. Some neighbors don't know how to fix the leak and others would jump in
and help fix it.
This water line eliminates our line being exposed to tree limbs falling and breaking the lines, pigs walking on the lines
and breaking them, etc..
Please approve Resolution 164-23.
