••,OJNtY OF N!!!!!• • 4••L • • COUNTY OF HAWAI`I •� =:'' i • STATE OF HAWAI`I ,TEOFN►'� RESOLUTION NO. 245 2 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KONA AQUATICS CLUB, INC., TO PURCHASE AND REPLACE SHADE CANOPIES AT THE KONA COMMUNITY AQUATIC CENTER. WHEREAS, Kona Aquatics Club, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle for swimmers of all ages; and WHEREAS, the Kona Community Aquatic Center is a County facility located at Kailua Park, and Kona Aquatics Club, Inc., partners with the County to assist with necessary repairs, such as replacing the deteriorating shade canopies over the bleachers and keiki pool; and WHEREAS, Kona Aquatics Club, Inc., is requesting funds to purchase and replace the shade canopies at the Kona Community Aquatic Center; and WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation supports Kona Aquatics Club, Inc., and its continued efforts to provide a safe and clean facility for Hawai`i Island residents and visitors to enjoy; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Kona Aquatics Club, Inc.,to purchase and replace the shade canopies at the Kona Community Aquatic Center. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
