She grew up in an Air Force family, which <br /> allowed her to live and travel around the world. Her upbringing was about community service <br /> and putting others first. Eileen volunteered during the Vietnam War in a hospital in the <br /> Philippines with the Red Cross. <br /> For the last 30 years, she has made Hawai`i her home. She is the Chairperson for a charitable <br /> organization called Koi Pond, which raises funds for charities and children's programs. Serving <br /> the community locally and globally is in her family's DNA and she is looking forward to serving <br /> Hawaii Island by being on the Police Commission. <br /> If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2028.
