Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Gonzalo Garcia of District 7 to the Environmental Management
Commission.
Mr. Garcia has been a resident of Hawai`i Island for a little over a year, however, before
finalizing his residency, he was a frequent visitor who acclimated to the Culture and bonded with
Kama'aina. Mr. Garcia earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and offers a
background in non-profit benefiting youth, risk management, and as an environmental
management specialist.
Mr. Garcia is committed to promoting energy, food, and economic sustainability for Hawai`i. If
confirmed, he will serve a term ending May 31, 2028.
