Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an
additional $150,000 into the Office of Housing and Community Development's
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)-Program Income account. The original
appropriation for Program Year(PY) 2023 for CDBG funds was $150,000, bringing the
new total to $300,000. The additional funds will be put into the West Hawai`i
Emergency Shelter Facility Energy Efficiency Improvements account in accordance with
the PY 2023 CDBG Annual Action Plan.

Pleasesubmit the attached bill to amend Ordinance No.23-50,as amended;the Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii for the
Fiscal Year ending June 30,20241,to add additional CDBG Program Income revenue and appropriate the same for the General Fund,
as follows:

The Office of Housing:and Community Developrnent(OHCD)anticipates receiving additional $150,000,00 in program
income. This additional program income will come into the County as Residential Rehabilitation Program loan
repayments in accordance with the PY 2023 CDBG Annual Action Plan,these program income payments will be put into
