A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PLANTER
BOXES AT PĀPA‘ALOA ELDERLY HOUSING.
WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) provides for the planning, administration, and operation of all of the County of Hawai‘i housing programs; and
WHEREAS, Pāpa‘aloa Elderly Housing, owned by the County of Hawai‘i and managed by Big Island Housing Foundation, consists of 10 residential duplex buildings, one manager unit, and a
community building; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Pāpa‘aloa Elderly Housing have requested planter boxes to assist their gardening ventures to grow food, plants, and flowers for their enjoyment; and
WHEREAS, the OHCD is requesting funds to purchase and install 20 planter boxes and for miscellaneous gardening supplies for Pāpa‘aloa Elderly Housing; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Office of Housing and Community Development for
the purchase and installation of planter boxes at Pāpa‘aloa Elderly Housing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
