Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Please be informed that I have re-appointed Cindy A. Hara of Hilo (Council
District 2) to the Hawaii County Committee on the Status of Women.
Ms. Hara is a lifetime resident of Hawaii and since 1998 has been a Housing
Specialist with the County of Hawaii, Office of Housing. Prior to that, she was
with the State of Hawaii (1996-1998), and a legal secretary with the Carlsmith,
Ball, Wichman, Murray, Case & Ichiki Law Firm (1989-1996).
She is active with the Lehua and Hawaii State Jaycees, the HGEA Kendall
Scholarship Committee and the Hilo High School Alumni Association.
Ms. Hara will serve a term to end on December 31, 2003. Should the Council
have any questions regarding the appointment, you may call me at your
convenience.
