Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Please be informed that I have re-appointed Laurine K. Carvalho of Volcano
(Council District 6) to the Hawaii County Committee on the Status of Women.
Mrs. Carvalho is a life-time resident of Hawaii and since 1996 has been an
Escrow Assistant with the First American Long & Malone Title Company, Ltd.
Prior to that, she was with Sure Save Super Markets, Ltd. (1977-1995). She is
active with the Hilo Jaycees (Rooster) and the American Red Cross.
She will serve a term to end on December 31, 2004. Should the Council have
any questions regarding this appointment, you may call me at your convenience.
