Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of James D. Dumaguin of Kona
(Council District 7) to the Hawaii County Kailua Village Design Commission to
replace Earl Fujikawa of Kona (Council District 8) who resigned effective
December 31, 1999.
Mr. Dumaguin is a lifetime resident of Hawaii and since 1968 has been an
educator/administrator with the State of Hawaii, Department of Education. He is
active with the Boy Scouts of America, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints and the Konawaena High School Safety Committee. He is a member of
the Democratic Party.
If approved, Mr. Dumaguin will serve the balance of the unexpired term which will
end on December 31, 2000.
Should the Council have any questions regarding this nomination, you may call

appreciated.
