Subject: Regarding Bill 063- Maintenance of private nVndedioated roads
I am in support of the amendment of Chapter 14 of the Hawaii County Code 1983.
This action would allow families that live on Anuhea Circle Road in Volcano to request assistance in maintaining the
roads for public transportation, including making them safer for both vehicles and pedestrians.
Historically, these roads were maintained by Hawaii County, but presently they are not. I request that they a
reinstated because the deterioration of our roads is significant and has become a safety issue. I
Most mfrnyneighbors are now full time residents, This isnolonger avacation development, but rather asatellite
community for Hawaii residents either working in the National Park and other nearby sources of employment, or those
who increasingly, beginning with the pandemic, are working from home.
Thank you for including my testimony when you consider Bill 063 next week.
