SUBJECT: Wildfire Emergency Preparedness
I respectfully request at least 60-minutes of time on the appropriate committee agenda for the
Civil Defense Agency and the Fire Department to discuss their wildfire emergency preparedness
protocols and processes, emergency communications, and potential needs or opportunities to
improve community wildfire preparedness and response for Hawai`i Island.
Please refer this matter to the appropriate committee for October 3, 2023. Should you have any
