Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Amedeo Markoff of District 4 to the Public Access, Open Space, and
Natural Preservation Commission.
Amedeo Markoff has been a resident of Hawai`i for 33 years. He concentrated his studies in the
forestry world graduating from the University of Hawaii Forestry program and trained as a
consultant for the forestry stewardship program.
Primarily Amedeo Markoff has been self-employed as a builder, woodworker, and sawyer in
Hawaii for the last 30 years. He has worked in the forest industry in Hawaii since 1995. He is
also certified to write Forest Management Plans for the Hawaii Department of Forestry and
Wildlife. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2027.
