Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of labor and materials to install a
homerun fence from West Side Hawai`i Little League, PO Box 955, Kailua Kona,
Hawai`i 96740. This labor and materials for the homerun fence, valued at approximately
$14,700, will be situated at the William Charles Lunalilo Playground in Kailua Kona.

1 B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
11 The baseball community recently requested a homerun fence be installed at the baseball field in William
t Charles l_unalilo Playground, also known as,Pualani Estates Park.
in order to enhance the community's baseball experience, West Side4Hawail Little League has volunteered to
it- purchase the materials and donate the labor to install this homerun fence.
The value of these repairs are estimated at$14,700,

RE: Resolution No. 279-23 • A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR A HOMERUN FENCE TO
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
