Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Re: Operating Budget In the current Budget Ordinance 23-50, $425,000 is appropriated in the Police Department's HCPD Roadblock Program account. Additional federally derived funds in the amount of$97,970.95 are being provided by the State of Hawai`i Department of Transportation and the National Priority Safety Program to fund operations focused on reducing the number of drivers operating a vehicle while impaired. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police's HCPD Roadblock Program account, bringing the total appropriation to $522,970.95.
