Please add the insurance issues for Zone 2 to the request for legislative assistance contained in Res 240-
23. Representative Illigan has some good ideas to help solve the problem and they need funded. Without insurance
the housing market will collapse as mortgages will not be available and a lot of vulnerable people will not be able to
keep their homes. If homes are uninsurable mortgages will become immediately due in full. This is a very serious
problem for the Island of Hawaii that will impact many residents as well as ultimately the tax revenue of the
County. The Council needs to wake up to it. Mahalo!!!!! Jan Marshall
