Re: Comm. No. 445/Bill No. 67
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 67, reports as follows:
Bill No. 67, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 445 dated
August 31, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — Broadband Equity Access and Deployment
Planning Funds -Federal account ($100,000); and appropriates the same to the Broadband Equity Access
and Deployment Planning Funds -Federal account ($100,000). Funds would be used to assist in the
development and implementation of a plan to achieve equitable internet access for all Hawaii residents.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 67, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
