Re: Comm. No. 446/Bill No. 68
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 68, reports as follows:
Bill No. 68, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 446 dated
August 31, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants - Affordable Connectivity Outreach Grant Program
account ($175,000); and appropriates the same to the Affordable Connectivity Outreach Grant Program
account. Funds would be used to provide services and financial assistance for internet subscription fees
for qualified households on Hawaii Island.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 68, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
