Re: Comm. No. 447/Bill No. 69
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 69, reports as follows:
Bill No. 69, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 447 dated
August 31, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants — National Criminal History Improvement Program
account ($580,000); and appropriates the same to the National Criminal History Improvement Program
account. These additional funds would be used by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for a new case
management system, increased internet bandwidth, licensing, and replacement of computers to improve
the quality, timeliness, and accessibility of criminal history records.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 69, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
