Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred
Communication No. 442, reports as follows:
Communication No. 442, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated August 30, 2023,
requests the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Anna Liu to the Banyan
Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency.
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in the Kona Chambers to
introduce Ms. Liu, who was not present.
Pursuant to Chapter 53, Section 53-2 of the Hawaii Revised Statues, members of a local
development agency shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Council.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 442, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Anna Liu to the Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency.
