West Hawaii Police Officers are requesting 53,276 in overtime pay to perform Three (3) police sweeps at various parr, recreation areas, and public locations on Hawaii. One Sergeant will be responsible for coordinating the stveepa. The Sergeart w~71 be paid 537.50 per hour in overtime for coordinating the sweeps. Throe (3) Hawaii Police Officers will be responsible for conducting the sweeps- The offices will be paid 533.00 per hour in overtime for their efforts- Additionauy, the officers will be responsible for presenting to community groups sad schools on the topic of alcohol miscue. The police oRicera will also develop an I1~ACT training program to pentalim and educate . ~ youth regarding the illegffi use of nleohoL These youth will have been sentenced 6y Family . _ Court for alcohol related incidences. BLtze orange t shirts are requested for $870 to provide safety in youth while pidting up rubbish in various petits, recreation areas, and public facilities. b. Trnsh bags will be needed to collect rubbish. The estimated cost of the trash bags is S1g0. c. Gloves will also be needed by youth throughout the process of pieldng up rubbish. The estimated coat for the gloves is 5240. d. Food and beverages will also be needed to provide snacks to the youth during periods of . dearung parks std other facilities.
