Re: Operating Budget
In the current Budget Ordinance 23-50, $99,172 is appropriated in the Aid To Victims .
account. Additional funds in the amount of $344,199 are being provided by the State of
Hawaii Department of the Attorney General to be used to provide assistance and support
to victims and witnesses through the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Victim -
Witness Assistance Program.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these
additional funds into the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Aid To Victims account,
bringing the total appropriation to $443,371.

Increase the revenue and appropriation in the Aid to Victims (Victim/Witness Program) account by
$344,199.

Additional funds have been provided by the State for our Aid to Victims (Victim/Witness Program). The
Victim Witness Program provides assistance and support services to the victims and witnesses through our
Victim Assistance Unit. These additional funds will pay for salaries, fringes, trainings, equipment and
supplies for our Victim Assistance Unit.
