JN�VfOF M,`i. <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII •_ :t STATE OF HAWAII <br />�rEOF MF'� <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 2,3 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR A PLAYGROUND TO <br />THE COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br />WHEREAS, Kona Playgrounds Foundation and an anonymous party are donating <br />labor and materials for a playground to the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and <br />Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $45,000, consists of playground <br />equipment, which includes freestanding playground sensory panels and two (2) sets of <br />aluminum bleachers with installation at the William Charles Lunalilo Playground in Kailua <br />Kona; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />
