COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 482/Bill No. 73
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 73, reports as follows:
Bill No. 73, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 482 dated
September 15, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in the 2023 Emergency Proclamation Homeless Programs — Federal
account ($2,000,000); and appropriates the same to the 2023 Emergency Proclamation Homeless
Programs account ($1,900,000); and the 2023 Emergency Proclamation Homeless Programs —
Administration account ($100,000). Funds would be used to support the implementation and on-going
operations of a new homeless shelter program.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 73, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
