COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 487/Bill No. 78
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 78, reports as follows:
Bill No. 78, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 487 dated
September 15, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill increases revenues in the Transfer from General Fund account ($8,300); and appropriates the
same to the Papa`aloa Housing Project account to purchase planter boxes for residential gardening.
Committee Member Heather Kimball provided comments of support and wanted to recognize the
Office of Housing for all of their efforts to help the community.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 78, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
