No. 488/Bill No. 79 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 79, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 79, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 488 dated <br />September 15, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County <br />of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. <br />This bill increases revenues in the State Emergency Medical Services account ($617,702); and <br />appropriates the same to the Emergency Medical Services Other Current Expenses account ($474,008); <br />and the Retirement Benefits account ($143,694). Funds would be used to cover collective bargaining <br />agreement salaries, fringe benefits, and operational increases. <br />Batallion Chief Chris Honda introduced Accountant Nikol Lonokapu, who provided a brief overview <br />of this measure. <br />Committee Member Ashley L.
