Subject: Resolution 263-23 Authorize Director of Finance to enter negotiations
Aloha Council Members,
This is my written testimony in support of Resolution 263-23 to authorize the Director of Finance to enter into negotiations for the acquisition
of TMK 328008100 or the entire shoreline of the `ili of Pepe`ekeo by the County through the PONC process.
I believe that this action will help preserve, protect and improve this important coastal land for current and future citizens. Access to this resource for
traditional fishing, local gathering, and coastal trails are heavily in need by local residents. With County ownership and community based
management, this `Aina will benefit everyone for its beautiful resources, views, and experiences. We need better access to our coastal areas and
protect them properly.
Please approve this resolution so we can proceed towards the vision of ownership and proper steward of this coastal land. I hope to see you all enjoy
and find happiness in this area once this is in use.
