RE: Support for Bill 82. I am writing to express my strong support for the crucial initiative of paving roads within the Hawaiian Acres community. The need for improved road infrastructure in our community is of paramount importance, and I believe there are three compelling reasons that deserve your attention: "Emergency Access Vehicles": Paved roads are essential for ensuring timely access for emergency response vehicles, such as ambulances and fire trucks. During emergencies, every second counts, and having well-maintained paved roads can significantly reduce response times. This not only enhances the safety and well-being of our residents but also helps protect property and save lives. 2. "Natural Disaster Resilience": Hawaii is prone to natural disasters, including fires and flooding. Paved roads can play a vital role in improving disaster preparedness and response. They provide a stable and safe evacuation route for residents during emergencies, preventing the isolation of homes and ensuring that individuals can quickly access shelter and relief services. 3. "Transportation for County Vehicles": Our community relies on county services like school buses to transport our children safely to and from school. Paved roads are essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of these routes. Smooth, well -paved roads ensure the safety of our children and the reliability of county services, particularly during adverse weather conditions. I am asking that there be a consideration to pave Road 1 approximately 4 miles to the intersection of Road F and Road 1. Also paving Road F to Road 8, approximately 2 miles. This will create a square grid of pavement for all residents to enter and leave the subdivision in case of any emergencies. In conclusion, I urge you to consider the significant benefits that paving the roads in the Hawaiian Acres community can bring. Not only will it enhance the overall quality of life for our residents, but it will also bolster our community's resilience in the face of emergencies and natural disasters. Comm. Ito Ref. To: Ref. Date ': a - 3 2023 I kindly request that you allocate the necessary resources and support to prioritize this essential infrastructure project. Your commitment to improving our road network will undoubtedly have a lasting and positive impact on the safety and well-being of our community. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to the positive developments that will result from your support for paved roads in Hawaiian Acres. Sincerely, Daniel Faiella
