Aloha Council Members,
I am writing in support of Bill 82, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 9, SECTION 2-40 AND ADDING A
NEW ARTICLE To CHAPTER 14 OF THE HAWAI'I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
IMPROVING, GRADING, REPAIRING, OR CONSTRUCTION WORK UPON PRIVATE, NONDEDICATED, AND NON -
SURRENDERED ROADS."
Road maintenance is an essential issue for most private subdivisions, and with 75 miles of roads in Hawaiian Acres, it is a
continuing challenge to keep them maintained and in reasonable condition. Our community would greatly appreciate
assistance to improve critical roads and ensure proper access for emergency responders.
Please consider giving Bill 82 a positive vote
