GO••L �i .114 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII 7TE OF V1 RESOLUTION NO. 3e34 23 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO VIBRANT HAWAII FOR THE NA`ALEHU RESILIENCE HUB. WHEREAS, Vibrant Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for vulnerable, or moderate and low-income families and children by providing educational and cultural services, programs, and support; and WHEREAS, the Nd'dlehu Resilience Hub is serving as one of Vibrant Hawai`i`s food hubs to provide hot meals in the K`au district for the underserved, the elderly, and families in need; and WHEREAS, Vibrant Hawaii has requested financial assistance to purchase food, provide supplies needed to serve meals, and pay utility expenses incurred while providing these services to the community; and WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development supports enhancing the standard of living and the development of a local economy that is diverse, stable, and in balance with Hawai`i's ecology, community character, and cultural heritage; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to Vibrant Hawaii for expenses associated with the Na`alehu Resilience Hub's community food program to help those in need. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
