Resolution 263-23
Aloha Council Members,
This is my written testimony in support of Resolution 263-23 to authorize the Director of Finance
to enter into negotiations for the acquisition of TMK 328008100 or the entire shoreline of the 'ili
of Pepe'ekeo by the County through the PONC process.
I urge you to please vote "YES" to approve this resolution.
I believe that this action will help preserve, protect and improve this important coastal land for
current and future citizens. Access to this resource for traditional fishing, local gathering, and
coastal trails are heavily in need by local residents. With County ownership and community
based management, this 'Aina will benefit everyone for its beautiful resources, views, and
experiences. We need better access to our coastal areas and protect them properly.
