I have been a resident of Pepe'ekeo for the past twenty years. I moved here because it reminds me of my hometown of Pahala in Ka'u district. The people who live in Pepe'ekeo have strong family values that support in the caring of our Kupuna, teaching of our youth and the sustainability of our aina. Pepe'ekeo Community Development Corporation (PCDC) is a nonprofit organization that incorporates these core values of caring for its community and aina. One of the events that PCDC coordinates is Aloha Aina Days in which the shoreline is cleaned and managed. It is truly a wonderful site to see our community working hand in hand in cleaning along the shoreline, planting native plants to prevent erosion and sharing stories with each other. Providing PCDC with the appropriated funds will continue the mission of caring for it community and its culture. Mahalo, Wanda Louis Pepe'ekeo Resident 808-895-2172 Email: auntiewans@gmail.com Comm.
