23. Pepe `ekeo Community Development s
Corporation(PCDC) is a 501 c3 incorporated
organization developed in 2019. PCDC is formerly
known as the unincorporated Pepe'ekeo Community
Association (PCA) to previous County council
members and leadership. PCDC was developed for the
following reasons:
PCDC is a community driven association dedicated
to supporting the safety, well-being and resource needs
and concerns of the members residing in
Pepe`ekeo. Our mission is:
To facilitate a people's voice
• To identify, celebrate, and preserve the culture
of Pepe`ekeo
• Through what is necessary, what we want to
preserve, and what needs to change
• To bring awareness to and address local sgqu.
To promote community and navigate our place
in the greater lahui
The PCDC is requesting these funds to be able to
provide at the minimum (4) Aloha `Aina Days focused
on our beloved shoreline of Pepe `ekeo. For decades,
this shoreline has been maintained by our community
members and fishermen families. They have provided
countless hours and utilized their own resources (i.e.
gas, equipment, food, water, etc). With the funds
requested, we would be able to provide the necessary
mea` ai (sustenance) when they are volunteering. Our
members work tirelessly to keep the public and private
access points along the shoreline, open. We would also
be able to improve communication methods and
signage so that more members could participate and
utilize our areas more effectively and efficiently. Based
on our last several aloha `aina days, we range
approximately 18-45 individuals at any given point in
time. These funds will directly increase interest and
participation by others.
Please support us in these efforts.
Mahalo,
