Aloha Hawai'i County Council Members,
I am writing in support of Bill No. 82, Draft 2, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 9, SECTION 2-40 AND
ADDING A NEW ARTICLE To CHAPTER 14 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING
TO IMPROVING, GRADING, REPAIRING, OR CONSTRUCTION WORK UPON PRIVATE, NONDEDICATED, AND NON -
SURRENDERED ROADS."
Road maintenance is an essential issue for most private subdivisions. With 75 miles of roads in Hawaiian Acres, keeping
the roads in reasonable condition is a continuing challenge. Our community would greatly appreciate the county's
assistance in determining and upgrading critical roads and ensuring proper access for emergency responders.
Please consider giving Bill 82 a positive vote.
