No. 517/Res. No. 303-23 <br />Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution <br />No. 303-23, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 303-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication <br />No. 517, dated September 29, 2023, authorizes the Director of Finance to negotiate'a sixty-eight <br />year lease with Kamakoa Nui Limited Partnership for the purpose of the development and <br />construction of an affordable workforce rental housing project, situated at Waikoloa, District of <br />South Kohala, County and State of Hawaii, and identified as Tax Map Key: 6-8-042:022. <br />The property located within the County's Kamakoa Nui Subdivision is approximately 10.324 acres, <br />and would be used to develop and construct up to 140 -units of affordable workforce rental housing. <br />Assistant Housing Administrator Harry Yada and Deputy Corporation Counsel Sylvia Wan were <br />present.
