Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 93, reports as follows:
Bill No. 93, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 527 dated
September 29, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-51, as amended, relating to public improvements and
financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
This bill adds the Public Works Waiakea-Palai Streams Flood Risk Management — County project
($7,596,700) and the Waiakea-Palai Streams Flood Risk Management — Federal Project ($8,743,300)
to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital
Projects Fund — Fund Balance and/or other Sources ($7,596,700) and Federal Grants Receivable
($8,743,300), to construct two flood control detention basins.
There was no discussion on this meaure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 93, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
