Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for a new multi-year lease agreement for one greens mower. This equipment is to be
used by the Department of Parks and Recreation's Municipal Golf Course in Hilo. The
monthly cost will be approximately $1,200.

A. REQUEST:
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for a period of five (5) years for a
Greens Mower (GP400) for the Department of Parks and Recreation Hilo Municipal Golf Course.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Greens Mower (GP400) will be used to maintain the greens at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course. The
department currently has two (2) Green mowers that ie utilized 7 days a week. This high usage results in the
mowers needing constant repairs with increasing costs
The Greens Mower will be leased for a period of five (5) years. The purchase price is estimated at
$68,000.00. The estimated monthly cost for the lease is $1,200.00.
Funding for the lease is included in the FY2023-24 Budget. This equipment will be leased financed such
that the County will own the equipment at then end of the five (5) year lease.
