Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for a new multi-year lease agreement for one 5 gang rotary mower. This equipment is to
be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation's Municipal Golf Course in Hilo.
The monthly cost will be approximately $1,900.

A. REQUEST.
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for a period of five (5) years for a
5 Gang Rotary Mower for the Department of Parks and Recreation Hilo Municipal Golf Course.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED)
The 5 Gang Rotary Mower willused to maim inn the fairways at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course. The
department currently has two (pe mowers thatlu ufilized 7 days a week. This high usage results in the
mowers needing constant repairs with increasing costs.
The 5 Gang Rotary Mower will be leased for a period of five (5) years. The purchase price is estimated at
$108,000.00. The estimated monthly cost for the lease is $1,900.00.
Funding for the lease is included in the FY2023-24 Budget. This equipment will be leased financed such
that the County will own the equipment at then end of the five (5) year lease.
