RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION CREATING TWO (2) NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST IV POSITIONS, ONE (1) NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST V POSITION, ONE (1) NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
VI POSITION AND ONE (1) NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST VII POSITION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology is in need of a two (2) Information Technology Specialist IV positions, one (1) Information Technology Specialist V position, one (1)
Information Technology Specialist VI position, and one (1) Information Technology Specialist VII position to support the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, these positions are necessary for the County to maintain operational standards, increase its vigilance in cybersecurity and focus on defense-in-depth strategies to increase
cyber maturity; and
WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are two (2) Information Technology Specialist IV, SR-22, positions, one (1) Information Technology Specialist V, SR-24, position, one (1) Information
Technology Specialist VI, SR-26, position, and one (1) Information Technology Specialist VII, SR-28, position; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai‘i County Charter states that the Mayor has the power to “Create positions...for which appropriations have been made by the council...”;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that two (2) Information Technology Specialist IV, SR-22, positions, one (1) Information Technology Specialist V, SR-24, position,
one (1) Information Technology Specialist VI, SR-26, position, and one (1) Information Technology Specialist VII, SR-28, position be created in the Department of Information Technology.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of Management, Department of Finance, Department of Information Technology and Department of Human
Resources.
