HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 345 Draft 01 2022-2024 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) 60” DECK ROTARY MOWER FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a multi-year lease for five (5) years, for one (1) 60” deck rotary mower; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized by the Department of Parks and Recreation’s Municipal Golf Course in Hilo; and WHEREAS, the department currently has two (2) 60” deck rotary mowers that are utilized seven days a week and require constant repairs at increasing costs; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of Parks and Recreation. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Department of Finance.
