HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 354 Draft 01 2022-2024A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION WITH ITS HONOKA‘A VALENTINE’S TEEN DANCE.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, plans, conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation, athletics, crafts, community events, and other leisure
time activities for all age groups at recreation centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is planning a Valentine’s teen dance for the community at the Honoka‘a Sports Complex on February 9, 2024, which will include music, refreshments, and
fun activities presented in a safe environment; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to cover expenses for disc jockey fees, a PA (public address) sound system, refreshments, and other supplies to support
its Honoka‘a Valentine’s Teen Dance; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation for its Honoka‘a
Valentine’s Teen Dance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
