Aloha,
As a 40 year resident of Kapoho, I am writing you today to remind you that we need access to our ocean! Kapoho Bay
and the surrounding areas of Kumakahi has been a vital source of recreation & fishing grounds for generations.
While I am in support of protecting this wonderful area, please do not lose sight of the many people who can't wait for
the chance to access this beach area. We have lost so much do to the 2018 eruption. Kumakahi could help us reclaim
some of what has been lost!
The South Kohala coastline is a perfect example of numerous ocean access roads while maintaining security. We can
do the same here. Please keep ALL the people in mind when designing the plan for Kumakahi; not just special interest
groups.
