I'm writing in full support of the $3000 going towards the North Kohala Tool Library to assist with expenses, 4uh1ck`wi41

I've been following the journey of the tool library since its inception a couple of years ago, and to see it fully realized so
quickly with such a grassroots community effort, and already with an online inventory of over 340 tools to help the
community out with low cost building, has been incredible and is already a testament to a journey of being an important
community resource.
Not only does this keep used -but -still useful tools out of the landfill, lowering a waste stream, but I think about all the
people who've wanted to do more but can't because of low income, and will now have the opportunity to do way more.
Maybe even be able to start a business. Or maybe it'sjust a small fix around where they live. I know as someone who
doesn't have a large income that when something goes wrong, the cost of what's needed to create the fix can be
prohibitive, and knowing that I have a resource where I'm able to borrow instead of buy is helpful.
On another note, I know the tool library's goals area I so to do workshops to teach people how to do things, too, not just
provide the tools, which I think is also another gift with their mission.
In closing, I'd like to say the tool library is run by community leaders, who have proven time and time again that they get
things done successfully and not only in away that empowers the community to thrive. I know this $3000 grant will go a
long way for them.
